We met thanks to Jenn Schleh, Nick's mom. Jenn and Ashley were co-workers at MaineHealth Cancer Care. It was spring of 2021 and Ashley was assigned to cover infusion therapy for the upcoming Easter weekend. Jenn, knowing that Ashley's family lived out of state, invited her for Easter dinner. But there was an ulterior motive to Jenn's generous offer... she wanted Ashley to meet her son Nick. In fact, she proclaimed "I think you'd be perfect for my son". Ashley politely declined her invitation but did nervously agree to exchange numbers with Nick. They met up for the first time at Oxbow Brewing in Portland on March 31, 2021 and the rest is history. What can we say, moms make pretty good matchmakers. Thank you Jenn!
