Although “average” is the word we use to describe our first date, our second date and entire journey to this day has been anything BUT average. Neel captured my heart when he first made me dinner. On the menu was salmon, brussel sprouts, asparagus, kale salad, cheese and crackers, mashed potatoes, and let’s not forget the garlic bread (toasted AND untoasted—since he wasn’t sure which one I’d like) ❤️. If that’s not enough to convince me he’s a keeper, I’m not sure what is! I knew I found a gem when I discovered he was just as clumsy as I am, has a talent for making people smile and feel special, is goofy, intelligent, adventurous, and quite handsome I might add. God has surely blessed me with the most amazing man I know.

I honestly couldn’t have dreamt up a more perfect proposal if I tried. The weather was perfect as we found ourselves on the steps of the Piazzle Michelangelo overlooking the entire city of Florence. The view was absolutely spectacular and there happened to be a musician performing at the bottom of the steps. He began to play Ben King’s Stand By Me and she said “Aww I love this song!” I instantly knew this was it...this was the moment I had been waiting for and my heart began to beat out of my chest. So I got up and asked if she wanted a picture together. Instead of posing for the camera, as she was doing, I got down on one knee and began to ask if she would make me the happiest man alive for the rest of my life. She didn’t actually say yes...she just kept asking “Really?!” But I took that as a yes, haha. We sipped champagne as we watched the sun set over Florence with some beautiful live music...the perfect proposal for the perfect girl 😍🎉😊
