Paso Robles
Paso Robles will likely be the closest city for most of you. The downtown area, around the large park in the center of town, is jam packed with yummy restaurants, coffee shops, creameries, and bars! In the morning Spearhead Coffee is a go to for us, and "Brunch" has a scrumptious...brunch :) . Red Scooter Deli has great sandwiches, Fish Gaucho is a lively Mexican restaurant, and Street Side Ale House & Eatery is always a fun time. If you'd like to end the night with a sweet treat we recommend Nigrante Ice Cream.
Tin City
If you love wine, beer, and spirits, Tin City is a must go! Tin City is located in Paso Robles, although closer to Templeton. As their website states: "Tin City is a vibrant and unique industrial hub located in Paso Robles, California, that has become a popular destination for locals and visitors alike. The community of Tin City is a collection of small, artisanal producers who have set up shop in repurposed industrial buildings, creating a charming, eclectic mix of tasting rooms, breweries, wineries, and distilleries." Pop on by and have a drink for us :)
San Luis Obispo (SLO)
A must-see for all visitors. A walk down Higuera St and you will find restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and boutiques galore. The whole town shows up every Thursday night for the Farmer's Market so join in for live music, street vendors and people watching or come back in the morning for a calmer experience. We love: - Coffee at Kreuzberg and Scout - Breakfast burritos at Linnaea's Cafe - Cocktails at Sidecar (get a seat on the balcony over the creek if you can) - Dinner at Luna Red, Mistura, and the Granada Hotel - Turkish delights and other sweet treats at Lokum
Avila Beach
Catch some sun and sand at the cutest beach town in SLO County. Come on Friday night for a fun farmer's market and stay for a drink at the Custom House.
Montaña de Oro State Park
Check out the sand dunes and rocky coastline where we took our engagement photos! Great for sunset. Keep an eye out for surfers at Hazard Canyon and grab a burger at Sylvester's on your way back to town for a grubby SLO County classic.
Hike SLO
Hike Cerro San Luis Obispo (Madonna) or Bishop Peak for sweeping 360 views of SLO. Then reward yourself with our favorite sandwiches in town at Lincoln Deli.
