CA Public Health Guidance

Currently, California does not have a travel advisory in effect. However, the California Department of Public Health asks that you do the following: Delay travel until you’re fully vaccinated. If you’re not fully vaccinated, but choose to travel, get tested before and after. No matter your vaccination status, wear a mask while on public transportation or in a transportation hub Get tested if you feel sick, and avoid traveling if you have or may have COVID-19.

San Diego International Airport

Guests traveling a far distance should fly into San Diego International Airport. Be sure to check the airport's covid-travel guidelines. You can rent a car from the airport, request an Uber/Lyft, or arrange for a shuttle service to bring you to the hotel. The airport is about 50 minutes from the hotel. Ride Share Service

San Diego International Airport offers Ride Share Services (Lyft & Uber). The estimated average price of a ride on Uber or Lyft is $45-$60 depending on the time of day you travel. Designated Ride Share passenger pickup locations are listed below: Terminal 1: Exit baggage claim via the escalators, walk across the Sky Bridge toward Ground Transportation and the parking lot, exit down the escalators toward the parking lot, and turn right to the Transportation Plaza. Use the crosswalk to the third lane for the pick-up area. See signage for assistance. Terminal 2: Upon exiting baggage claim, use the main crosswalk to Transportation Plaza. Ridesharing pick-up is located in the second lane on the right. See signage for assistance. Be sure to wear a mask when traveling in an Uber or Lyft. Free dedicated shuttle busses run continually to ferry customers between the airport terminals and the Rental Car Center. Driving from Los Angeles

It takes on average 2 hours and 15 minutes to travel from Los Angeles and we recommend you consult your favorite map service. For those traveling on Thursday, the 4th we recommend giving yourself extra time (leave no later than 12:30 pm) as traffic headed south can start early. Directions to the Lakehouse Hotel & Resort: Take I-10 W toward Los Angeles. Exit left onto CA-60. Take Exit 58 and merge onto I-215 S toward San Diego. Merge onto I-15 S. Take Exit 32 to merge onto CA-78 W toward Oceanside. Take Exit 11B and turn left onto S Las Posas Road. Turn right onto W. San Marcos Boulevard. Turn left onto Discovery Street.
