We met our sophomore year at Carmel High School. After a short 3 week friendship, we started dating. Fast forward 10 years later, and we couldn’t be more excited to be high school sweethearts permanently!

Over Labor Day weekend, we took a trip to New Buffalo, Michigan. Max had planned a fun date at the Indiana Dunes, but what Ashley didn’t know was that he was also planning to propose! The original plan was to pop the question on Sunday, but thanks to a surprise wind advisory, Max made a last-minute change of plans to move everything up to Saturday. That afternoon, we headed to the dunes for a picnic and hike. It was quiet, peaceful, and just the two of us. While we were chatting and playing games, Max got down on one knee and asked Ashley to marry him. She said yes (of course)! After the big moment, we stayed to watch the sunset, soaking it all in, and ended the day with a celebratory dinner. It was perfect — a day we’ll never forget!
