This is when Matthew and I will be getting there. Latest: June 30th by 7pm. We would like everyone who comes to make it to the 1920s themed rehearsal dinner.

No, I will assign you and your family a cabin/yurt based on availability and size of your family after I receive all the RSVPs! Please let me know if you have a specific budget in mind! Prices range from $175-$295 per night. They will contact you for payment closer to the wedding date once you have been assigned a cabin! In order for everyone to fit onsite, I may ask some smaller sized families to room together. I will contact you personally if this is necessary. If you are not okay with this, please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate you!
No, we should have room for everyone to stay on site at Brown Mountain Beach Resort! But if you do not want to stay on site I can give you hotels in the area as well.

Yes! You are responsible for getting yourself and your family to and from the wedding venue! Charlotte Douglas International Airport is about a 1.5 hour drive to the venue.

It will be $15 per person attending! This fee includes the tubes, life jackets if needed, and trolley trips to the beginning of the creek. Activity is from 11-2 on June 30th. One tubing trip takes about 30 minutes and you will end back at the Brown Mountain Beach Resort. You can take the trolley as many times as you want during 11-2. Per google it is recommended that children are 7 years of age and up to participate but I do not believe there is an age restriction. This is a class III rapid. Please keep this in mind if you allow your child younger than 7 to participate. You must arrive on the 29th to participate in this activity. If you do not want to participate in this, or have children you don't want participating, please reply "will not attend" on the RSVP page.
There is no obligation to dress up but we would love everyone to participate! Matthew and I will be dressed to our 20’s best! Men: Suspenders, hat, pinstripes, vests. Women: Glitz and glamour, fringe, headpieces, pearls.
Yes, Brown Mountain Beach Resort offers onsite babysitting! It costs about $15-20 per hour/per family. I will reach out to all families with children before the wedding to see if you are interested in any babysitting. They will need this info a couple days before the wedding to make sure they have enough qualified staff onsite. There is more info about babysitting on their website.
Of course! Kids are not restricted from any of the activities this week! Babysitting is totally optional throughout the week. Keep in mind tubing is recommended for 7 years old and up. If you would like to participate in this activity and do not want your kids coming, you are responsible for finding care with a another adult family member not participating or you can use the babysitting service!
Yes! They must be on a leash at all times when not in your assigned cabin/yurt. There is a $25 pet fee. Please let me know if you want to being your pet!
There is NO cell phone service here. We are thinking of bringing walkie talkies to be able to communicate while on property! There is wifi at the main deck area if needed to be able to receive texts, calls, emails and to view maps on your phone of the area. You will not have wifi in your cabin/yurt unless you provide a hotspot! Brown Mountain likes to say this is the perfect place to disconnect for the week and enjoy the nature! Please plan accordingly!
Brown Mountain Beach Resort has it's own cafe. They have options like sandwiches, pizza, salads, and coffees. Otherwise yurts have kitchenettes and cabins have full kitchens. Both have grills provided. We are 20-30 minutes from town here you can go to a grocery store to cook at your cabin/yurt or go to a restaurant on other days where meals won’t be provided. We will be providing beer and wine after our wedding ceremony on July 1st but all other alcohol for the week will need to be purchased by you offsite. June 29th: No meals provided. June 30th: Rehearsal dinner, pizza. July 1st: All meals will be provided including brunch, appetizers and finger foods for cocktail hour, and dinner. We will be providing beer and wine after our ceremony. July 2nd: Thank You/Farewell breakfast provided. July 3rd: No meals provided as we need to check out by 11am.
Brown Mountain Beach Resort is located on Wilson Creek. The venue offers canoeing, kayaking, and paddle boarding at no extra cost to you! You can also go swimming or go for a hike as well. Fishing is also allowed but you must bring your own poles! You are also more than welcome to travel offsite to any of the near towns to explore as well!
In lieu of traditional gifts, we are asking for money to put towards our new home or our honeymoon fund. Please see the "Registry" tab for credit card or venmo payments. If you would like to give cash, we will have a card collection box at the wedding. We are extremely thankful for anything you can contribute.
