Ashley and Marc met working at a restaurant in April, 2018. She was a bartender and he was a server. They immediately caught each other’s eye and found out they loved sharing funny conversations with each other. One day, Marc decided he wanted to take Ashley out. He asked her if she liked dancing and she said of course she did. However, neither of them bothered to text the other on the night they had planned to meet up. Classic! After finally coming to their senses, they both agreed to get a drink after work one night. And yes, it finally happened…they kissed! The shared feelings of love and affection took their relationship to the next level rather quickly. Their next date, they rode bikes around New York City, walked the High Line, and got margaritas at a bar they love to revisit. Things were spicing up between the two of them, but neither of them wanted to admit it! Finally, the day came when Ashley admitted that she loved Marc, and he immediately responded that he loved her, too. Both of them gasped in relief because neither of them wanted to say it “too early.” However, they knew their feelings were real and effortless. They knew within those early days of dating that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. And so, on August 10, 2020, Marc brought Ashley back to the High Line, where they shared some of their first memories. And on that day, he asked her to marry him and she said Yes!
