Luke and I met during our senior year of high school when I was the new girl at Calvary Christian Academy. Luke and I were in the same homeroom and our lockers were next to each other. I remember the first thing Luke ever said to me was "I like your backpack," and the rest is history!
Luke was in Washington D.C. for a summer internship so he and I were long-distance. One weekend, Luke told me that he was going to take the train home to visit for the weekend and that he would be home late Friday night. The Thursday before, he told me that he was feeling really sick and that he could not really facetime or text because he just needed to sleep (little did I know that that was because he was actually home and did not want the surprise ruined!). Friday afternoon, my family and I went to Princeton to go shopping. We decided to walk through the Princeton University campus. As we were walking, we came across a big archway. All of a sudden I saw Luke all fancy in a suit and his entire family standing there! And so he proposed in Princeton where almost 4 years earlier he had asked me to be his girlfriend. So romantic, so cute, and such a surprise!
