Although they first met in High School, it wasn't until COVID that they reconnected. When Kieran took a semester off to work as a baker in Cincinnati, Ashley used her stimulus money to make a secret voyage out to see him. There, they fell in love as the leaves turned brown in the Queen City. When they returned to school in the Spring, they would take frequent trips to visit each other in Bethlehem and Philadelphia until Ashley graduated and moved to Bethlehem to be closer to Kieran. After his own graduation, Kieran found a job in DC, and they finally moved in together. Their time in DC was full of love and fun, as they met new and old friends, and even adopted their beloved cat Tater Tot. In April of 2025, Ashley and Kieran embarked on a week-long trip driving across Ireland. And despite the arguments fueled by a backwards driving system, Kieran still decided to propose. In front of the Cliffs of Moher, at the edge of the European continent, Kieran asked Ashley to marry him. She said yes, of course.
