We shared moments before we knew they would become memories, and shared memories before we knew we'd spend our lifetime reminiscing together. Our story begins in North Highlands, Ca at Highlands High School. Ashley was a Freshman, and I was a Senior. We played basketball for the same coach, so we were teammates. Being teammates was the extent of our relationship, as we rarely communicated outside of practice. As time passed, years went by before we would speak again. I went off to college, while Ashley finished high school. We got back in touch through facebook, although it was just an occasional "hey how are you" conversation and acknowledgement of one another lives' by pressing the "like" button. Once I moved back home after college, we would run into each other at popular clubs and bars, and before long we began to meet up in more intimate settings. The more time we spent together, the closer we became. Over time, we grew quite fond of each other and began exclusively dating. Through our conversations, we discovered we both wanted the same things out life, so we set out on our first adventure together by packing up our things and driving to Texas to seek them out. While being in Texas, our determination to succeed was continuously tested, but we stuck together through it all and came out stronger and closer than before. Before we knew it, we were engaged!!! We couldn't have been happier because we knew well before the proposals (yes we both proposed) that we wanted to spend our lives together. So here we are, beginning our next chapter the way the first one began, as teammates! We are best friends, we are lovers, but most of all we are partners working together to create our happily ever after! So we would like to thank you all for being on this journey with us thus far and for being here to celebrate our love's journey as we begin our next chapter! We love you all!
