True to our millennial nature we met on Bumble, a dating app. This is the app where if a couple matches, the woman has to initiate the conversation. From Ashley’s perspective: I had recently changed jobs and was still traveling weekly as a typical consultant pre-covid. I was determined to be in a relationship and find my true love. I set a goal for myself to go on a date almost every weekend, and based on statistics the more you put yourself out there the better chance you have of finding someone :). When I saw Kelvin’s profile he was athletic, a swimmer, and liked to travel. We started talking and I could not wait to meet him and hopefully one day go to Brazil. As the gentleman he is, he waited 3 weeks to meet me due all my work travel. From Kelvin’s perspective: I had taken a break from the dating world after my previous relationship and had just started using Bumble not too long before I matched with Ashley. But I was motivated to find someone worthy to be with this time around. I was always very picky when it comes to dating, so for me it was difficult to date someone for longer than a couple of months. But Ashley was easy to get along with, and we had very similar mindsets from the beginning. It was difficult at first, because she was traveling during the week and we could only see each other on the weekends. But we were resilient and kept making an effort to text and call each other during the week, and then see each other on weekends. Our first date was at TukTok and Kelvin made the long drive from Alpharetta to 26th street to meet up with Ashley. Conversation was great and we immediately connected. After dinner, when we went to say goodbye we went in for the hug but it was so electric between us we ended up kissing. A sign that this was meant to be. We spent COVID together spending time between Duluth & Midtown and really getting to know each other and watching many netflix shows like Cobra Kai. We eventually moved in together in 2022, which made things a lot easier. Throughout the years we traveled together, enjoying hikes, relaxing at the beach and Kelvin taking Ashley to Brazil to meet his family. We both are active and Kelvin enjoys his tennis while Ashley can be found walking or at the gym. We live together with our best friends Monkey and Angel and are excited for this next chapter of our lives! We are excited to celebrate with you and happy you are part of our lives!
