Justin and Ashley met back in 2012 when they both were working at the Kennedy Center. They were coworkers who quickly built a strong, supportive friendship. Their friendship was very playful and a bit flirty at times.... Coworkers would often ask or suggest that Justin and Ashley were dating when they were still just good friends. Justin and Ashley would just laugh and brush off the comments. They were close friends for about three years; until one day a coworker decided to play match maker. The coworker would talk to both Ashley and Justin separately about the other person. She would then nonchalantly report back to Ashley what Justin had said and vice versa. The feelings were there for one another, but neither of them would speak about it. At the end of a work day they were all about to leave, and Justin was going back to UCONN for his semester. The coworker came right out and just said, "can you guys just say you like each other." Of course Ashley being her shy self turned a shade of red that doesn't exist on the color wheel, and Justin his confident self admitted it. Ashley and Justin slowly started to spend time together on the weekends when Justin would come home from school. Before they knew it the comments and rumors of them dating from their coworkers were true, and the rest is history! Now nine years of friendship, six years of dating, and an endless amount of memories this couple has finally decided to walk down the isle together to promise one another a lifetime. Thank you to the Kennedy Center for bringing this couple together, and of course our coworker Wilma who played cupid for Ashley and Justin. Ashley and Justin are grateful for that uncomfortable conversation in the Kennedy Center parking lot.
