It's that age old millennial story. Boy and girl are too busy & WAY too unsocial to meet people in real life...so they try online dating. Of course that comes with lots terrible dating options, but there's just this one guy that seems intriguing. After talking for a couple of weeks, we decide to meet in real life. Dinner. Oh boy. This guy, he kinda looks nothing like his picture. This date, though, was one for the record books. A nice dinner with this amazing guy. He talked about cars. I know absolutely nothing about cars. But the fact that he was so interested in them....I was interested in what he was saying....I still have no idea what that conversation was about. We sat at that table for 4 hours, until the restaurant closed. Then we stood outside and talked for another hour. The only reason we left then, was because he made me, cause I had to be at work the next morning. I didn't want to leave. That date, that night, that boy. I knew he was special. I knew I wasn't letting him go.
I had a few rules when he proposed. He has to get down on one knee, I wanted a picture of it, and I didn't want to know the details. I wanted a surprise. We were going to dinner with his parents. He wanted to go a little early so we could go to Volunteer Landing. It was deserted, peaceful. The perfect setting for the perfect moment. Let's just say, I didn't get my picture, but I would not have asked for anything to be different.
