We both attended Waynesburg University and most likely met sometime in 2018 or 2019 during our freshman year. In 2020, we officially "met" each other when Ashley started playing her flute on the worship team Josh was singing on. This was just the beginning of a long journey of friendship that led to us getting married!

During college, we were friends but not super close. After we graduated, we both moved to Pittsburgh looking to start our young careers. Many of our friends were also in the area, so we spent some time hanging out with each other at group outings or holiday parties. This allowed us to watch each other grow as we blossomed into the people we are today.

In January of 2024, we went on a group trip to visit San Francisco. During this trip we got to spend lots of time bonding and making memories. This is when Ashley realized that she might have a *little* crush on Josh. After the trip, we started to spend a lot of time together. We would go watch Pittsburgh sporting events, play video games, paddle board, and play disc golf (which Ashley apparently didn't enjoy as much as Josh).

That fall, we went on another friend trip to Hocking Hills. This is when Josh admitted that he also had feelings for Ashley. After that trip, we had some great conversations about relationships, expectations, and life trajectory, which led to Josh asking Ashley on a date on October 4, 2024. After a round of mini golf (that Josh won(barely)) and a diner at the Cheesecake Factory, Josh officially asked Ashley to be his girlfriend.

In May 2025, Ashley went on Josh's family vacation to Banff, Alberta. At this point, Josh and Ashley had already had conversations about marriage and what a future together could look like. Little did Ashley know, Josh travelled to Banff with a ring and the intention to come home with a fiancé. On May 30th, Josh asked Ashley to be his wife at the top of Sulphur Mountain (she said yes btw).
