Travel Note
There are many public transit options in NYC and NJ. Within NJ, you’ll find the NJTransit which offers both train and bus options. We prefer the train and the Allendale Station is close to the Residence Inn. Use NJTransit to access NJ sights as well as NYC. The PATH train connects to the NJTransit. Use the PATH to navigate Hoboken and Jersey City; it also connects Hoboken to NYC. In NYC, you’ll primarily use the subway. The same MetroCard works for the PATH and subway. You load a dollar amount onto the card, and refill as needed. NYC also offers a 7 day unlimited ride pass for $33 (http://web.mta.info/metrocard/mcgtreng.htm#unlimited). Purchase MetroCards in any PATH or subway station. NJTransit uses its own pay per ride ticket system. Tickets can be purchased in the NJTransit app or at each station. Pro Tip: we usually buy oneway tickets, so you can explore the city and not have to enter/leave through the same NYC terminal. NJTransit buses are cash only. Lyft/Uber/car work too
Flight
There are many airports in our general area: Newark Liberty International, LaGuardia, John F. Kennedy International Airport, and New York Stewart International Airport. All of these are feasible, but we recommend Newark airport. It’s the only one in New Jersey and will give you the easiest access to the hotels. NJTransit can take you to the Residence Inn hotel, but we recommend Uber/Lyft
Hotel
We think this hotel is the preferred of the two hotels at which we've reserved rooms and it’s where we intend to stay. Transportation to and from the wedding venue will be provided from this location. The Residence Inn is walking distance to NJTransit and downtown Allendale. The block offers a variety of room types and rates apply for September 1st through 6th. Please book rooms as soon as possible, as the block expands incrementally as rooms are secured. Hotel
The Hilton is a short, 11 minute drive to the venue. Complimentary transportation to and from the venue may be supplied by the hotel, but is not guaranteed. While this hotel is the closest to our venue, it is not located near any NJTransit lines or downtown areas. The Feldman-Robinson Wedding Block offers a variety of room types. Block rates apply for September 2nd-4th. Please book rooms as soon as possible, given that the block expands incrementally as rooms are secured. The block rates expire on August 2, 2022.
