Fly Into Cancun Airport (CUN)
Guests must fly into Cancun Airport (CUN) to get to Isla Mujeres. Do not book a flight that lands at Cancun Airport after 8:45 PM (the last ferry to the island is at 11:00 PM) If you plan to attend the Welcome Party on Thursday, January 18th, your flight should arrive no later than 3:00pm January 18th in order to be on time for the event. Do not book a flight that departs the Cancun airport before 9:30 AM. (The first ferry from the island in the morning is 6:00 AM, with a 6:20 AM pick up, you will arrive at the airport by approximately 7:00 AM.) Tip: When booking flights try using a private browser or clearing your cookies, this may lower the costs of your search results!

CARM shuttle will be our preferred airport shuttle company. They will take you from Cancun Airport to Port Puerto Juarez where you will catch the ferry to Isla Mujeres. The tickets are one way to Isla Mujeres and back to Cancun. Do not lose your return ferry ticket! You may book shared rides with other wedding guests if you're arriving at the same time. The drive from the airport to the ferry dock will take 15-20 minutes. Directions from the Airport: Once you have received your bags from baggage claim exit the airport and don't engage with any of the vendors. You will cross the street once you have exited where CARM will be waiting holding a sign with your name.

Once you arrive at Port Puerto Juarez from Cancun Airport, The Ultramar Ferry from will take you to Isla Mujeres. Hotel Privilege Aluxes
***Please book your rooms ASAP as this hotel does not offer room blocks in January since it is peak season*** Privilege Aluxes is a private adults only resort set on Playa Norte along the Caribbean Sea. This beautiful hotel will be the preferred resort for the Furcht wedding, and where the bride and groom will be staying for the week. We do advise that if you are not a guest at Privilege Aluxes you will not be allowed on property. There are other resorts available on the island if you wish to stay at a different hotel. If you plan on bringing your kids, Ixchel Beach Hotel, Mia Reef or Hotel Secreto are kid friendly. We suggest reviewing websites like TripAdvisor, Booking.com and Expedia to shop the best deals. All-inclusive options are available as well.

GOLF CARTS
Although there is a ton to do within walking distance from the hotel, renting a golf cart is a fun option for exploring the island! Taxis are available as well, but if you'd like to rent a golf cart during your stay, there are several places that you can rent from that will cost approximately $60-$70 per day. They will require you to leave a driver 's license for the deposit. Some rental companies allow you to book in advance if you prefer. TRAVEL TIPS
1.) Don't forget your passport! Please renew it or order one now if needed! 2.) We encourage you to exchange U.S dollars for pesos as your dollar will go further. Exchange rates vary. Please note all places will take U.S. dollar, but not all will take credit cards. Exchange rate is approximately $20 pesos to $1 US dollar. 3.) Complete the Immigration Entry Form upon arriving to Cancun. You will receive the form during your flight, or you can fill it out pre-flight at https://www.cancunairport.com/immigration.html 4.) After you pick up your luggage upon arrival you will have one last livestock/agriculture form to complete once you have exited customs. These forms are located on a table near baggage claim. 5.) Once you arrive to Isla Mujeres from the ferry exit the port and make a left onto the street. The taxi line will be 50 feet to your left. It will cost approximately $5-$7 U.S dollars to your hotel. If you are staying at Privlege Aluxes, it's a 10-minute walk or a 5-minute Taxi ride, choice is yours. 6.) Don't forget sunscreen! It is very pricey on the island.
