Boat rentals are fully outfitted for a day out on the lake and have dock staff that are fully trained. We have attached one website to this recommendation however there are several others available.
Niagara Falls
Niagara Falls (NY) is about a 2 hour drive from Bristol. We highly recommend crossing into Canada for the best views if you have a passport!
Watkins Glen State Park
Watkins Glen State Park is the most famous of the Finger Lakes State Parks. Within two miles, the glen's stream generates 19 waterfalls along its course. The gorge path winds over and under waterfalls and through the spray of Cavern Cascade. Rim trails overlook the gorge. -1 hour from Bristol Mountain-
Corning Museum of Glass
With over 3,500 years of history housed in a building designed to mimic the flow of glass, the Corning Museum of Glass is home to the largest collection of art glass in the world. The museum is about 1 hour from Bristol Mountain!
The Erie Canal
There are several places to see the Erie Canal within 40 - 60 minutes from the wedding venue. In Fairport or Pittsford you can take a boat tour of that part of the Erie Canal.
Grimes Glen Park
15 minutes from the venue. The glen is opened to the public and features three waterfalls, all around 60' high. The first two waterfalls are easily seen, but you have to do some strenuous and possibly dangerous climbing to see the third waterfall. Water shoes are recommended.
Seneca Park Zoo
Every day is a great day to visit the Zoo. The zoo is just under an hour away from the venue!
The Strong National Museum of Play
45 minutes from the venue. The Strong is a highly interactive, collections-based museum devoted to the history and exploration of play.
Glenn H Curtiss Museum
Located on State Route 54, one half mile south of the village of Hammondsport, New York. Dedicated to the memory of pioneer aviator, Glenn Curtiss, the museum contains a priceless collection relating to early aviation and regional history.
