He had a little crush on me back in 5th grade. Little did I know he would be transferring the following year and go our separate ways. He later went to Campbell while I went to Iolani, making encountering each other slim to none. As senior year came around the corner, he reached out to me around graduation --- but I already had my bags packed and sights set living and studying in Italy for a few years. Let's just say that things didn't end up as planned, and I came home a few years later. He joined the National Guard while I was away and was deployed just around the same time I moved back home. He decided to reach out again when he returned from deployment, perfect timing since I was about to (finally) graduate with my bachelor's. There we were... our first date at Brick Oven Pizza, and the rest is now history!

It was Christmas morning, Jayden gave me a wrapped box filled with conditioner and shampoo. After all the presents were opened, I hear "Speechless" by Dan + Shay playing in the background. I thought nothing of it, preparing myself for his little brother Josh's proposal to his girlfriend. After his brother drops down on one knee, I turn to Jayden to say "Aww" as he holds open a red box with a stunning ring. Beyond surprised and a few tears later, I finally said, "YES." We are excited for you all to join us on our special day. See you in Hawai'i!
