How we became "US"

Highschool Crush

Javon and Ashley both attended Miami Sunset Senior High School in Kendall Florida. In 2010, the year they graduated, Ashley was walking down the hall and felt someone tap her shoulder. She turned around and saw this very cute but awkward young chocolate man looking down at her and he said "my name is Javon, what's your name?" she quickly replied " Do I know you" and with one quick whip of the hair she turned around and walked away. Little did Ashley know at the time, Javon was hooked. From that day forward, Javon never missed an opportunity to talk to Ashley even if it was just to say "hello". Javon and Ashley started with a friendship which quickly grew to like and then LOVE, making their relationship official on 10/7/2010. Ashley and Javon always encouraged each other in their life goals and became police officers in 2013 TOGETHER. A year later they were married on 08/23/14 in a small clerk of courts ceremony. In 2018 they had a gift only God could provide, a son and he brightened up every part of their lives. Jaxxton came into their lives and challenged everything they knew and understood about their relationship. Even though parenting and being full time law enforcement was difficult they stuck together working as a team to make it work. On 12/19/24, Javon took Ashley to the very place their love story began, Miami Sunset and reproposed with a nice little upgrade too! at this point she thought she had reached her maximum love limit, Thinking to herself "how could I possibly love him more." Javon said " HOLD MY BEER." On 1/31/25 Ashley suffered kidney failure. This news shattered her and she felt so hopeless....now she needed a transplant to live a normal life. Without thinking twice, Javon began the process testing to give Ashley one of his kidneys so that she stood a chance of having life, a continued life with him. There are so many other important details but 15 years is a long time to write about. Ashley and Javon have withstood the test of life and have learned so much in their union. Now, it’s time to reconstruct and strengthen the union that God has placed them in.
