When Jared told him he had a "friend" coming fishing with them and her name was Ashley, Easton responded "you mean your girlfriend?" Easton instantly took to Ashley and looked forward to their nightly FaceTime calls. Seeing the kind of step mom Ashley was to Easton and the bond they were building, made it very easy for Jared to see a future with Ashley.
