Jake and Ashley met in the Summer of 2014 on a quintessential, endless summer, Sunday that culminated in their previously parallel lives fatefully crossing paths. It was their common attraction to, and love for live music that finally brought them together. They found themselves drawn to the sounds of talented musician, and now good friend, Bryce Larsen and his ability to entwine Jake's favorite 90's rock gems with rhythms that filled Ashley's desire to dance. Ashley was introduced to Jake by his friend Mike Smith where, slowly but surly, she piqued Jake's interest by completing his preliminary, and dubious, alternative rock trivia questions. Miraculously, for those who know Jake, Ashley was persistent. She used her innate ability to make deep connections to break him from his seemingly unbreakable shell. Like a great live performance, the night was coming to an end leaving them both wanting more. Jake in his natural hesitant state left the next move to Ashley, who wrote her number on a cocktail napkin to which Jake promised to call her "if he didn't lose it..." A memorable first date, and countless Pearl Jam concerts later, Jake and Ashley now share a life full of love with one another and their stunning Golden Retriever Eddie Stone Potters.

While taking in a perfect late Summer sunset, surrounded by the beautiful landscapes of Maine; Ashley and Eddie had one mission: Ice Cream. To Ashley and Eddie's surprise, Jake suggested the family stop and take in this beautiful and peaceful moment together. It was here, in this perfect moment in time along Long Lake in Naples Maine, that Jake asked Ashley to spend their lives together. The moment was picture-perfect, and will always hold a special place in their heart's. The ice cream that followed was equally as memorable.
