Is there a dress code?

Answer

We’d love for you to look sharp, but no need to go too fancy. Dressy casual is perfect! November in Florida can still be quite warm so we recommend light layers. Also, the festivities will be indoors but please keep in mind there's always a chance of rain.

How long is the ceremony?

Answer

Courthouse ceremonies are quite short, but since it's an operational government office, there's a chance we will have to wait for a few minutes. The Sarasota Courthouse has a beautiful outdoor courtyard with seating for us to hang out while we wait our turn.

Is there parking for the ceremony?

Answer

There is on-street parking available near the courthouse on Main Street and Ringling Boulevard. There is also a Sarasota County Parking Garage one block east of the courthouse at 2150 Ringling Boulevard, Sarasota, FL 34237.

What should we do in between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

There will likely be a small buffer window between our ceremony and the reception, which starts at 5pm. We'll be taking photos, but we encourage you to use this time to explore charming downtown Sarasota!

How far is the reception from the courthouse?

Answer

It's about a 25 minute walk, or 7 min drive, from the courthouse to the reception dinner. You can also ride the free downtown Sarasota trolley, the Bay Runner -- hop on right outside the courthouse and hop off at the Main Street & Palm Ave stop, then it's just a quick 5 minute walk to the restaurant.
