FAQs

The Wedding Website of Ashley Patrick and Fiona Lo
We are so excited to celebrate with you on the Disney Wish! Thank you for joining us in making this magical voyage unforgettable.
Question

How do I get to the cruise port on embarkation day?

Answer

The Disney Wish departs from Port Canaveral, Florida (near Orlando). Guests who are sailing with us can travel to the port by car, shuttle, or Disney Cruise Line transfers from Orlando International Airport or Walt Disney World Resort. Full details will be shared with booked guests.

Question

How much will it cost for me to sail on the cruise or attend the event?

Answer

Prices vary by stateroom type and number of guests. Disney Cruise Line will provide quotes based on your preferred room category and length of stay. Please contact our travel coordinator (or DCL directly) for exact rates.

Question

Do I need to book a specific stateroom or package?

Answer

No specific package is required, but we recommend booking early for the best rates and preferred stateroom category. Our wedding is part of the sailing, so once you’re onboard you’ll have access to the ceremony and reception events.

Question

What is the duration of the ceremony and reception?

Answer

The ceremony typically lasts 20–30 minutes, followed by a reception of about 1–2 hours.

Question

When will the ceremony location be confirmed, and will it be on the ship or at a port?

Answer

Wedding will be held at the Atrium (middle of the ship), however, we will know exact details for the reception closer to the sail date.

Question

Can I come onto the ship if I’m not sailing?

Answer

Disney Cruise Line does not allow non-sailing guests onboard. All wedding guests must be booked on the sailing.

Question

What activities are available for guests who aren’t directly involved in the wedding?

Answer

All sailing guests can enjoy the ship’s many amenities—pools, live shows, dining, lounges, kids’ clubs, and more. If you’re not in the wedding party, you’ll still have plenty of opportunities to relax and explore.

Question

Are children welcome, and are there specific events for them?

Answer

Yes! Disney Cruise Line is family-friendly. Kids’ clubs, character meet-and-greets, and family activities are included. There are also adult-exclusive spaces for grown-up fun.

Question

Is there any opportunity for guests to experience the ship or a port adventure with the couple?

Answer

Yes! While the wedding day will be our main celebration, we’d love to connect throughout the cruise. We’ll share optional meet-up times for group activities like shows, dinners, or an excursion at Castaway Cay.

Question

What are the gratuity expectations for service staff, if any?

Answer

Disney Cruise Line automatically adds gratuities for stateroom hosts, dining staff, and rotational servers to your onboard account. Additional tipping for bartenders, room service, and spa staff is appreciated but not required.

Question

Can I bring a gift for the couple?

Answer

Your presence is the greatest gift! Since we’ll be traveling, we kindly ask that any physical gifts be shipped to our home. For those who’d like, we have set up a registry and a cash fund for our first home.

Question

Is there a wedding registry?

Answer

Yes! We’ve created a registry that includes a cash fund for our future home, along with a few other options. Details are available on our wedding website.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

For the ceremony and reception, we suggest semi-formal to formal attire. Think sundresses, dress shirts, cocktail dresses, jumpsuits, or suits. Love a good floral moment! Since the ship is air-conditioned and we may also be outdoors, comfort is key. Disney Cruise Line also hosts optional themed nights (like Pirate Night!), which are a fun chance to dress up.

Question

How do I request a specific location or activity for the wedding?

Answer

Ceremony and reception locations are assigned by Disney Cruise Line and cannot be customized. However, guests can book their own onboard activities, spa treatments, and excursions through the Disney Cruise Line website or app once reservations open.

Question

Are there any other events planned for the wedding group, such as a rehearsal dinner or brunch?

Answer

Yes! We’ll plan at least one additional gathering—details will be shared closer to the cruise.

Question

Dress code?

Answer

Floral formal/ semi- formal If you have a floral dress, where it! If not, however you feel comfortable 💕
