Our story began with an 8 p.m. first date at Postino — which, for us, was basically the middle of the night. Ashley was already in silk pajamas getting ready for bed, and Perry was half-asleep from a nap on the couch when we decided to meet halfway between Fort Collins and Denver for dinner and drinks. What we thought would be a quick date turned into hours of effortless conversation, laughter, and a deep sense of peace and comfort with one another. From the very beginning, it felt easy — like we had known each other forever. When the night finally came to an end, Ashley drove home thinking, “Wow… I just met my husband.” From there, our relationship stood the test of distance as we intentionally pursued one another and built a relationship rooted in faith, love, and Jesus at the center of it all.
