Question

Which airport is the most convenient?

Answer

Harry Reid International Airport is the most convenient airport. It is about a 15 minute drive from the airport to the Strip. The Uber and Taxi pick-up areas are very well organized and efficient. Please keep the bride and groom updated on your time of arrival. We may be able to arrange a pick-up for you or arrange a carpool between several groups of friends and family.

Question

Why the Flamingo Hotel?

Answer

The Flamingo is the oldest casino on the current day Strip. It has an incredible pool, which is VERY important to the bride. They are fairly inexpensive compared to other properties. They also have a ton of food options for all budgets. Most importantly, The Flamingo is centrally located on The Strip. Additionally, the wedding ceremony will be held at The Flamingo and the bride and groom will be at The Flamingo for the entirety of their stay. We believe The Flamingo offers the perfect mix of charm, entertainment and the color pink, making it the ideal location for everyone to stay.

Question

What is there to do?

Answer

The Flamingo is known for its pool, so be sure to spend some time there. If you gamble, of course, you are never out of throwing distance of a slot machine in Vegas. The Flamingo is also positioned on the Linq Promenade which offers a pedestrian street walk of bars, restaurants and gift shops. On one end of the Promenade you will find the iconic High Roller and on the other end, the iconic 12 story zip line running the distance of the promenade. The Flamingo is also positioned on The Strip which provides endless entertainment and people watching. A short walk across The Strip is the legendary Caesars Palace and Forum Shops inside the casino. In Vegas, you will find endless entertainment. If you and your family find any fun outings and want to include the group, please do. We want to spend as much time with our friends and family as possible.

Question

Food and Drink?

Answer

The Flamingo has several dinning options on site. They have a food court with an Auntie Anne’s, Nathan’s Hotdog, Pizza shop, Wing shop, etc. The prices in the food court are pretty fair for casino dining- expect $10-$15 a person. Carlos 'n Charlie's Restaurant is the bride’s favorite, a mexican spot. They have great food with some healthier options. They also have a BOGO happy hour from 2-6 and they are GENEROUS with their pours! You can expect to pay $30-$50 a person, depending on drinks. Bugsy and Meyers is the steakhouse on the property which has a beautiful atmosphere but is quite expensive. Pinky’s is the celebrity restaurant on site, a Vanderpump restaurant. It is beautiful inside but does carry the celebrity restaurant price tag. It is a tapas restaurant. The most impressive part of the experience is the drinks, the vibe and the service. There are also a few spots on the Linq Promenade to grab food, including an In-N-Out. Shockingly, this will only run you $10-$15 a person. It’s a must try for my east-coasters, if you have never had it before. Of course, there are endless dining options in Las Vegas, boasting some of the best food in the world. If you have any other suggestions- please pass them on to the bride and groom!

Question

What about transportation?

Answer

Everything on The Strip is walkable and if you were looking to go end-to-end, there is a monorail that runs along The Strip, all day long. Once you arrive from the airport, there is no real need for a vehicle. Ubers and taxis are readily available and cheap. We will be leaving The Strip for the wedding reception but transportation will be provided there and back.

Question

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE FOR THE CEREMONY?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 4:00. Guests may begin to arrive at 3:45. If you are staying at the Flamingo, you may want to take some time to find the Garden Gazebo before the ceremony. The bride and groom can take some time to show you around in the days leading up to the ceremony. The Garden Gazebo is behind the Chapel outside between the Flamingo Exhibit and the pools.

Question

CAN I TAKE PHOTOS DURING THE CEREMONY

Answer

We kindly ask that phones and cameras are put away during the ceremony. We also ask that no photos of the bride and groom are shared on social media until a few days after the ceremony. We want to enjoy our moments with you and be present as much as possible. Our wedding is intentionally small and intimate, we want to enjoy that as long as possible.

Question

IS THERE A REGISTRY?

Answer

We are asking for no gifts. We know asking you all to travel and take a weekend to spend with us is expensive. We only ask for your presence at our wedding. Time spent is the most important thing to us as a couple. Please save your money to spend having an unforgettable weekend with us. We appreciate you all.

For all the days along the way
