Look for some gator bites at Everglades Gator Grill!
Open November - mid-April. This is a CASH ONLY shop! They have an Amish bakery, produce, ice cream, and heavenly goodness. The line tends to get long so bring an umbrella and try to get there EARLY. The cinnamon rolls, cheese rolls, and milkshakes are a MUST.
A glimpse of Old South Florida at its best. If you want to get artsy fartsy, this is the perfect spot. You can go to the tea room or take a painting class at their art gallery.

This is a bit out of the way from the venue but if you're visiting for the weekend, it is worth the drive. Very casual hole in the wall restaurant. This is one of Dylan and I's favorite spot. Their miso soup, papaya salad, Massam curry, and sushi rolls are *chef's kiss*!
Wine & Beer Bar in Wynwood, Midtown, and the Design District (all popular for their nightlife). This place is a very laid-back, chic atmosphere, and always has such a great vibe and live music. This was actually where we had our first date.
