Black-Owned Coffee Shop in the heart of Houston! The Coffee is great and so is the food!! Skip Starbucks and support a local coffee shop! Try the Lavender Latte! It's Amazing!
Houston Botanic Garden
Nice, calm place to walk and chill. Very close to the Houston Museum District and the Houston Zoo! The Garden strongly encourages you to purchase tickets in advance online. Adult: $12.50, Children 3-15: $8.00
Lucille's
A locally-owned restaurant in the heart of Houston’s Museum District, we specialize in well-refined Southern cuisine with infusions of international techniques and flavors. Co-founded in August 2012 by brothers Chris and Ben Williams, the restaurant is a tribute to the culinary tradition begun by their great-grandmother, Lucille B. Project Row Houses
Project Row Houses is a highly acclaimed art and cultural community center consisting of 22 renovated shotgun-style homes. Ten of the 22 row houses are dedicated to art, photography, and literary projects, which are installed on a rotating six-month basis. Each house is transformed in ways that speak to the history and cultural issues relevant to the African-American community.
The Galleria
