The first time I ever laid eyes on Deryk was at the Olin crawfish boil in 2022. It was a quick glance, but good enough to think he was cute. Fast forward to 2024, Deryk started noticing me at the gym and on social media. We never communicated until one night at Relajo. Yes, out of all the places Relajo. I could see him staring at me the whole night, we would make eye contact, but he wouldn't come up to me. So, I made the first move and called him over. The most famous line was "I love your chain" when in reality, I thought it was ugly, but it was a conversation starter. We spent some time together and eventually fell off, but God said that wasn't the end of our story. I knew he was the one for me it was a right guy wrong timing feeling. I let it be and let God take control, and come July, on my friends birthday trip to the river, it just so happens Deryk was there as well with his family. Out of all the places in the world, we just happened to be at the same place at the same time, like it was meant to be. From that day forward, we were inseparable and have been blessed with our beautiful girl and creating a beautiful family and life together.
