Our love story begins in Austin, Texas in 2017 when Ashley came over with a group of friends to see Dennis' summer AirBnB after a full night of teaching. After hearing for months about how cool the other was (and our mutual friends saying "OMG you would love each other!"), we were blown away to find out how true that would be. With a united connection in teaching and a love for all things literature (let's be real, we mean Game of Thrones and Harry Potter), we shared the next four years hunting taco trucks, singing our hearts out at music festivals, dancing in the kitchen, eating sushi until we were physically in pain, and creating a partnership to last a lifetime. You could say from the minute we walked into each other's lives, we kept right on walking in the same direction. In February 2020, Dennis planned a trip to Paris with an ulterior motive. Our 2nd night we went to an amazing meal, walked to the Pont des Artes (*cough* one of us in heels) and Dennis got down on one knee. Most of you know the entire next day was spent in our hotel room trying to recover from food poisoning, but you know it's real love when your highest highs and lowest lows can be back-to-back and you wouldn't trade them being spent with your favorite person. We made it home just in time for lockdowns to start, and after a few months of remote work decided to drive back up to the Midwest to visit our families. By October 2020 we decided we wanted to stay, so we packed up and started our next adventure in Michigan. There, we've been busy building home offices, painting walls, putting some unintentional holes in those walls, still dancing in the kitchen, and reacclimating to Midwestern winters. As our closest family and friends, we couldn't be luckier to be going through life with you by our sides! We are so grateful to have you join us on our special day to celebrate, feast, and dance the night away. Thank you for being such an important part of our lives, we love you so much!
