Once upon a time, fifteen years ago, there was a young man who worked in the grocery department and a young lady who worked at the coffee shop within the same store. What started as shy glances and flirtatious smirks soon blossomed....into all-out war. While the girl was not looking, the boy would casually bounce coins off the coffee shop counter in hopes to land it in a donut hole like some old school version of Skee Ball. In turn, she would 'accidently' mess up his coffee. "When you said cream for your coffee, I thought you meant cream cheese. Oops". With a non-subtle push from their fellow grocery store co-workers (who also was her sister Brittany and her now-husband Joe) the cunning and creative flirtations turned into something that would ignite the rest of their future. It was, however, not Facebook official and they each, sadly, had to go their separate ways. Fast forward a couple years and the girl is in college and the young man is working hard at his career. A simple text of "let me take you out, I don't care how far away you are " rekindled a flame that never faded. One date turned into many. She graduated, he continued to work hard and next thing they knew they were moving into their first apartment with a crotchety cat named Rambo . The apartment turned into buying and remodeling a home- a home that was built with tremendous love and support from their friends and family. No home is complete without a dog (or two). Their unique but wouldn't-trade-him-for-the-world Husky/Boxer mix named Kash joined the family a short year later. Two years after that, they rescued their second dog, a Great Dane/Lab mix and of course had to name him Johnny. Johnny, Kash and Rambo made their home feel complete and ready to tackle their next adventure. So, when he got down on one knee and she said yes, they also said "Let this new adventure begin!" And so is the story of Ashley and Corey.... We love to call each new date, road trip, concert, activity an ‘Adventure’. If we get lost on the way to a destination, then we are not amiss but "going on an adventure". An adventure is exciting, thrilling, unpredictable and maybe a little scary. An adventure requires trust and fortitude to stick it through. So, we want to thank everyone for being a part of our adventures thus far and we cannot wait for this new one to begin.
