Matron of Honor
I met Ashley when we were working at Fatz Cafe—me as a waitress, her as a hostess—and we immediately clicked (yes, with a “k,” because it was that kind of friendship). Since 2008, we’ve basically been causing mild chaos together. Over the years we’ve country line danced like we knew what we were doing (we didn’t), somehow ended up in a heavy metal bar with zero outfits to match, and karaoke’d with confidence that was completely unearned. We went to bars before she was 21—which, in my defense, I did NOT know—so I was accidentally aiding and abetting. We’ve eaten more late nights at Waffle House and IHOP than any two people should be allowed, done train shots (because maturity is overrated), and even vacationed once with a “cellar dweller”… still not sure how we survived. We’ve worn green mud masks and looked like Shrek’s cousins, danced until our feet hurt, and randomly hung out with Shorty—and once or twice with Gucci Mane (as one does). Whether we’ve lived near or far—now with me in PA—we always pick up right where we left off. She was my maid of honor, and now I get to be her matron of honor, which feels perfectly full circle. I love this girl like she’s my sister. No matter what, we always leave with a laugh, a memory, and at least one questionable story. 💚

When Corey first moved here from Texas, we quickly became great friends—and before long, he was even living with us for a bit. Somewhere between late nights, nonstop laughs, and plenty of friendly trash talk, I had to make sure he knew exactly who the real Madden king was. From being roommates to being like family, Corey has been there through it all. He’s a loyal friend, a solid competitor, and one of the best guys you’ll ever meet.

I met Ashley in high school, when she first moved from NC to Greer, SC and she always reminds me that I was the first person to welcome her as she was so nervous being st a new school. The rest is pretty much history as we immediately became best friends :-) We have experienced so much of our lives together! A few rough times, but mostly the BEST times! She has always been my biggest supporter, best friend, and on her BEST day, I am so honored to be by her side 🩷

A few years back I met Corey at one of my backyard firepit gatherings on a random evening, and within about ten minutes of talking, it felt like we’d known each other for years. We started with some casual small talk about how Texas A&M was over rated and the Miami Hurricanes were the best team ever! And next thing I knew, I was asking my Ashley, when his Ashley was coming over to hang out, if he was coming too. There’s only a few moments in your life when you meet a genuinely awesome dude and you feel like you’ve gained a brother. Congratulations Corey and Ashley, I am so happy for you!

Ashley and I met through networking, but what started as a professional connection quicly turned into a real friendship. She's one of those rare people with a heart of gold, loyal, and endlessly genuine. I'm so thankful to call her my best friend and even more thankful to stand by her side as we celebrate the love, commitment, and next chapter of her and Corey.

Corey and I met for the first time in downtown Greenville. He told me he was from Texas—where the real cowboys are from, of course. We grabbed a drink, and the next thing I know we were on stage singing karaoke to Def Leppard and well, Let’s just say we gave it our all and made memories we’ll never forget 🤣 Next time we went out together we played pool and learned we were both pretty decent, so we teamed up like seasoned pros and ran the table celebrating every win like champions. Corey loves watching clips of Boomhauer from King of the Hill and insists I sound just like him—which makes him laugh every single time. Corey, you’re one incredible guy and an even better friend. I’m so grateful our story started that night in Greenville and happy to be apart of your wedding day man.

Ashley and I first met through my sister ten years ago, and over the past three years, our friendship has grown especially close. I cannot imagine my life without her as part of my circle. She is one of the most loyal friends I know and wears her heart on her sleeve, which is something we both share. Our personalities are very similar, and we have so many interests in common. I am truly honored to be part of her special day, and it is a privilege to stand beside one of my closest friends as she begins this new chapter of her life. I am so happy for you both!🩷

I met Corey through our women, but we hit it off right away. What started as fun quickly turned into a solid friendship. He knows I'm the type of friend that will always be there for him, and I know he’d be there for me the same way. I’m happy to have met him, and honored to stand by his side and celebrate this day. Congrats, to you both! Now let's party!

A2 (that’s the nickname my husband gave Ashley since we share a name) and I met when she went on an unsuccessful first date with a newly single guy my husband worked with. Her date decided to go to Southern Growl (the original location) for a group date with us and a few other co-workers. They did not hit it off needless to say, but we did and we have been friends ever since! Ash, I am so glad you finally met a great guy and I'm so happy to be standing by your side as you start this incredible new journey called marriage. It's not always easy, but as long as you choose each other over everything else; you'll be just fine :-)
