Question

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony will take place at the Cliffs at Glassy Chapel (10 Plumley Summit Road, Landrum, SC 29356) at 4:30 PM. Please arrive by 4 PM. After the ceremony, the reception and cocktail hour will take place at Hotel Domestique (10 Road of Vines, Travelers Rest, SC 29690). The chapel and hotel are a twenty minute drive apart. There is no charge for parking at the chapel and hotel.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive at 4 PM so that we can start the ceremony at 4:30 PM. There will be no entry to the chapel after 4:30 PM.

What is the timeline for the wedding day?

Answer

Ceremony will take place at the Cliffs at Glassy Chapel. Doors open at 4 PM. Doors to the chapel will close at 4:30 PM with the beginning of the ceremony. The wedding reception will be held at Hotel Domestique. Cocktail hour will begin at 5:30 PM followed by a buffet dinner. Festivities will conclude at 10:30 PM at Hotel Domestique.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the reception at Hotel Domestique where cocktail hour will begin at 5:30 PM with heavy hors d'oeuvres.

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is formal attire. Ladies are suggested to wear a floor length dress, and the gentlemen a suit/tie or tuxedo. Please be aware that the reception is on gravel with a wooden dance floor. Bring your dancing shoes!

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will take place indoors, with photographs to follow outside. The reception will be outside under a clear gable tent in the central courtyard of Hotel Domestique.

What will the weather be that time of year?

Answer

In late September the average high is 77 degrees, with an average low of 59 degrees. Average chance of precipitation is 25%. Please bring a jacket and umbrella in case of inclement weather.

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible or RSVP "no", so that we can plan accordingly.

Are there any charges for parking?

Answer

There is no charge for parking at both Glassy Chapel and Hotel Domestique.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! All children are invited and should be included on the invitations.

We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend to stay?

Answer

Yes. Please reserve your room at the AC Marriott Hotel in Greenville, SC by February 1, 2022.

When is the RSVP deadline? How do I answer it?

Answer

You can RSVP directly through the link on our website. The deadline for RSVP is July 24, 2022.

Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes, no stairs exist at the entry of either venue.

Question

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

All food will be provided at the reception venue Hotel Domestique. Heavy hors d'oeuvres will be served at the cocktail hour. Followed by a buffet dinner. An open bar will be present throughout the evening.

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?

Answer

Please provide any dietary restrictions on the RSVP so that we can assure you are accommodated.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

We are opting for a completely unplugged ceremony and first dance. A professional team of photographers and videographers will be on site throughout the day. Please put away your cell phones during the entirety of the ceremony and first dance. Photos are encouraged at all other times throughout the evening when photos can be posted. Photo booths will be set up at the reception. Thank you!

Where are you registered?

Answer

Our wedding registry can be found as a tab on our website. In leu of gifts, we have listed a honeymoon fund to start our marriage on an adventure!

Will transportation be provided between to/from the hotel?

Answer

Transportation will not be provided. Please be sure to coordinate a ride with either a rental car or pre-scheduled Uber/Lyft. Due to the remote location of both the chapel and hotel, Uber and Lyft will not be available upon immediate request.

What shoes are appropriate for the event?

Answer

The reception venue has gravel located around the hotel. Please wear appropriate shoes.
