Ashley and Connor met on spring break in Cabo when they were both in college. Ashley was sitting at a dinner table with Sarah Fallas, Jenna Wesley, and other sorority sisters when Connor strolls up to ask to eat with them. They thought he was a weirdo but accepted. Within no time, Ashley and Connor's friend groups became quick friends and hung out together the entire trip. By the last day...Ashley and Connor had danced the night away, laughed, and stayed up the whole night together. They knew they had a strong connection but left with sadness, thinking that was the last they'd ever see each other. Years passed. Connor moved to Hawaii to work as a mechanical engineer at Pearl Harbor and Ashley moved to Los Angeles to make commercials for Taco Bell. They would only see each other on social media, occasionally liking each other's post or sending a laughing face emoji. They were living their dreams...but something was missing. One day in deep COVID times, Ashley and her roommate, Lindsay, were sick of being stuck at home decided to escape to Hawaii for Ashley's birthday. Once they were there, Ashley messaged Connor to meet them for drinks and show them around. Connor showed up to their hotel room with his 20 closest friends and threw the most spontaneous birthday party. That first day in Hawaii was the most terrifying for Ashley, because right then she knew she'd never leave. And of course- they moved in together within months. Now here we are, 8 years since Cabo and 3 years since Ashley and Connor first re-met in Hawaii. Their relationship still feels exciting and new, but they also feel like childhood friends.
