Our friends Cory & Christy Thielen introduced us at Fairbank Days on June 30, 2018. Chase disappeared to find whiskey at a bar.. with Ashley's sister..

A year later we reconnected at Cory & Christy's wedding on July 20, 2019 and hit it off!

In January 2021, Chase moved from Cedar Rapids to Ames. Chase helped Eagle Point Solar start their Des Moines based crew.

On March 12, 2021 we closed on our first home in Huxley. We love our little neighborhood!

On July 16, 2021 we were on a camping trip at Union Grove State Park. Chase was very adamant that we couldn't walk to the waterfall until later that evening. After he accidently took a nap, he rushed me to the waterfall and popped the question with our friend Lolo hiding in the trees. :)

Our initial plan was to elope at a national park and have a celebration at a later date. The logistics were getting complicated so we decided to get married and still go on our 'elopement' trip to the North Shore of Minnesota, Isle Royale National Park, and the Apostle Islands in July. On February 22, 2022 we were married in a small ceremony at the Ames City Hall with our families. Chase chose this date because it is a palindrome (22.02.2022). We celebrated at Cornbread BBQ in Ames. We were thankful for a small, low-key wedding day where we were able to relax and soak up every minute with our families. Now we are ready to CELEBRATE with all of our friends and family!!
