The Wilds
The Wilds is a private, non-profit safari park and conservation center located in southeastern Muskingum County, Ohio, just west of Cumberland. The park combines conservation science and education programs, and also offers visitors leisure activities such as ziplining, horseback riding, and fishing. It is a 25 minute drive from Caldwell, Ohio. We know it is a long drive for some, so if you wanted to make a weekend out of it, this would be the perfect place to go!
Jesse Owens State Park, Miners Memorial Park
Jesse Owens State Park is a sprawling outdoor destination in Morgan County, Ohio, known for its unique history as reclaimed mining land and its massive "Big Muskie" bucket monument. Officially joined to the state park system in 2018, it offers a mix of primitive and full-service camping, numerous fishing ponds, and vast areas for hunting.
Wolf Run State Park
Wolf Run State Park is a 1,338-acre public recreation area located three miles north of the village of Caldwell, Ohio, in the United States. The state park features hiking on trails that include a section of the Buckeye Trail plus swimming, boating and fishing on 220-acre Wolf Run Lake.
