Evening before the wedding

Please join us at 7:30 in the Kaatskills Mountain Club, in one of their conference rooms, for some Pizza, drinks, and lots of catching up with everyone! (This has changed since invites went out)

Is it open bar?

Answer

YES!! While they may not have every beer, wine, or liquor, drinks are on us as you help us celebrate our BEST chapter yet!

What should I wear?

Answer

Dressy casual attire. (For men, button up with dress pants. Button up can be short sleeve or long sleeve) Ceremony and Cocktail hour will be outside. You will have to walk on grass and taking a ski lift to get to ceremony. Reception will be indoors. Please note you will be walking on grass at the ceremony. For those in the military, Chuck will reach out to you directly if being in uniform is requested.

Are things indoor or outdoor?

Answer

The Ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors. For the ceremony you will take a Ski lift up to the top of the mountain. Our reception will be indoors

Do you have rooms blocked? Where do we stay?

Answer

The resort we are having our wedding at has rooms available on site at Kaatskill Mountain Club, they do not block out rooms but will provide a room at a discounted rate. Call 855-947-0443, use code SHUBJW25. *Recommend calling to book ASAP for cheapest rate, is free to cancel and change up to 2-3 days before checkin* There are also several air bnb in the area.

Where do we fly in to?

Answer

Albany International Airport with about 1.5 hour drive to the venue and may be on the expensive side Boston Logan will most likely be the closest and cheapest and 3 hour drive but a great city to also experience explore JFK Airport about a 3 hours drive and you will be driving through NY city Syracuse Airport with about a 3 hour drive Bradly international airport in Connecticut with about a 2.5 hour drive *if you are wondering if you know anyone else invited to carpool with, please reach out to the Bride* There are also tolls, high recommend using the rentals EZpass

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive no later than 3:40 to allow yourself time to ride up to the venue. ceremony starts at 4pm and will be around a 20 min ride to the top of the mountain via ski lift

Can I take photos or videos at your cermony

Answer

We are having and unplugged cermony and ask that you keep your phones away. we have hired and amazing photographer to capture the moment and will share the phones with yall. However during your ride on the lift, cocktail hour, and our reception everyone is welcome to take photos and videos and we ask that you please send and share them with us! If you capture other guest to our wedding on the lift please share with us if you don't know them and we will gladly pass on the photos!

Can I bring a date?

With the high costs of weddings, we can only accommodate those on the invite

Wait I have to ride a ski lift to the cermony?

Answer

Yes you do and the views are amazing! However there is a shuttle that can take you up if you are not comfortable riding it, please reach out to the bride. They can stop/slow down when getting on and off and there is a safety bar that will go in front of you for the ride.
