We met at at the lake during our spring break. Chad was with some friends getting ready to go out on the boat. As I walked by the group. One of them called my name and shouted, “Hey, Chad wants your number!” I turned around and looked at them and walked away. During my walk I became more and more curious to figure out who this “Chad” was. So, on my way back to my house Chad and his group were pulling in on the boat and I decided to go check him out. At first I thought he was a trouble maker but I could not have been more wrong! He was the complete opposite and before we knew it we were exchanging contacts and going on dates. Now seven years later we are getting married and we could not be more happy than ever to be together!
A month before I shipped off for deployment Chad took me to my favorite place in South Carolina. It is a beautiful state park and it was where he gave me my promise ring in the beginning of our relationship. Chad had taken me there many times within the past few months before leaving and because of that I had crossed this place off from where I’d think he’d propose to me. At this point in time I had assumed that he’d ask me when I return home. However, one morning we woke up and he suggested we go geocaching! I was thrilled! Chad said he had talked to a park ranger who told him where a good cache was hiding in the state park. We got dressed and drove down. We started exploring near the river and when I turned around Chad was on one knee and asked me to marry him! I fell to my knees, hugged, and kissed him and said YESS! He proceeded to say wait you gotta stand so I can put the ring on your finger. I can’t tell you how many times we said I love you! We started laughing and it was truly a perfect and pure moment filled with love and happiness! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Landrum, SC!
