Cartier LaVon Scott and Ashley Maria Glover’s story began in the most unexpected way in May 2021. Their first encounter wasn’t in person, but through a random FaceTime call. Ashley was on FaceTime with her best friend, Nikela, her ELITE little sister, who happened to be at at Cartier’s house for his mom’s birthday brunch. While Ashley was speaking in the background, Cartier overheard her voice, interrupted the call, and said she “sounded beautiful.” So he took the phone and started talking to her. What seemed like a small moment was actually the beginning of everything! They texted back and forth for a few days but fell out of contact until Florida Classic Weekend November 2023, when they randomly both ended up at Ember for a party. This was their first ever in person encounter, but the connection was instant and natural. They danced and talked the night away like they had known each other forever. In December 2023, they decided to spend New Year’s Eve together and brought in the new year with their first kiss. Their first official date took place on January 4, 2024 and by January 19, 2024, Cartier asked Ashley to be his girlfriend. She said yes without hesitation. On July 19, 2024, Ashley made the heartfelt decision to move to West Palm Beach so they could begin building their life side by side. It was a big change, but one that felt completely right. Exactly one year later, on July 19, 2025, Cartier asked Ashley to marry him. She joyfully said yes. Now, they are planning their wedding for November 2026 and looking forward to a lifetime of love, partnership, and purpose.
