Are children welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time so you can celebrate with us. Below are a few recommendations for local childcare services. Regarding Covid-19 concerns, what safety protocols have been implemented?

Answer

Omni Barton Creek Resort will follow all local government requirements regarding Covid-19. Furthermore, we have opted in for a number of measures that will better protect our loved ones. As detailed above, our Wedding Ceremony and Cocktail Hour will be held outside and our Reception will be held in an open air, covered pavilion. Dinner safety measures such as specific food selections and serving style has been considered as well. We are thankful that covid vaccinations are currently being distributed. As we approach our wedding date, we will update this section with more relevant details. Thank you!

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding day is formal attire. Men should wear a tux or dark suit and tie, and women should wear an evening gown or pantsuit. Note, our outdoor setting is high-heel friendly!

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

All wedding festivities will be held on Omni Barton Creek Resort property. On our wedding day, all events will be held within walking distance from the resort lobby. Our ceremony will be located outside, near the Hill Country Pavilion. Cocktail Hour will be located right next to the ceremony location. Our reception will be located in the Hill Country Pavilion. All are within 50 ft. or so from each other.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

In early May, the temperature in Austin typically ranges from 66°F to 83°F. Our ceremony and cocktail hour will be located outside. Reception dinner, drinks, and dancing will be located in an open air, covered pavilion. Women may want to consider a shawl for potential cooler temperatures in the evening.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Wedding Ceremony and Cocktail Hour will be held outside. Our Reception will be held in the Hill Country Pavilion. As long as weather permits, the pavilion's walls will be raised to create an open air atmosphere.

What time should I arrive to the Wedding Ceremony?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive at 4:30 pm to ensure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled. Our Wedding Ceremony will start promptly at 5:00 pm.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

Yes, we've reserved a hotel block for guests at the Omni Barton Creek Resort, which is our wedding ceremony and reception venue. We've also reserved a hotel block at a nearby hotel, the Hotel Granduca Austin. Kindly mail your RSVP by March 31st, 2021.

Question

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

Delicious food! Hors d'oeuvres and cocktails will be served after our Wedding Ceremony at 5:30 pm. Our Reception will include drinks and a full sit down meal. If you have dietary restrictions or preferences, please advise on your RSVP card.

May I take pictures of your wedding?

Answer

During our Wedding Ceremony, we kindly request that you leave photography to our hired professionals. After our Wedding Ceremony, you may take pictures of the events to follow. Feel free to post pictures to social media channels, our only request is that you include our wedding hashtag #AlguireDownTheAisle so we can view all of your great shots!
