Cam and Ashley first met during their sophomore year at Albion College, sharing the same close circle of friends but barely speaking to each other. When most of their friends graduated, Cam made sure Ashley didn't feel alone, inviting her to hang out daily at the start of junior year. They quickly became inseparable, walking to class and spending all their time together. Though everyone else saw the spark, it took a friend's encouragement on Halloween weekend 2021 for them to finally see it, too. That same weekend, they shared their first kiss, and Cam asked Ashley out on a first date to a Kalamazoo Kwings hockey game. They made it official on November 7, 2021, and have celebrated every anniversary with a Kwings game! They moved in together in October 2023, and Cam proposed on September 15, 2024, at the California Grill in Disney World—Ashley's favorite place!
