We first met at a wedding on Thanksgiving weekend back in 2017, on a sunny afternoon in Southern California. Although we hit it off, it would be three years before we'd cross paths again. The next time we met was again at Thanksgiving, this time in 2020 in North Carolina. We were reintroduced by a mutual friend and hit it off once again. From there we began quite the adventure. We traveled the country together, from Georgia to Florida to New York, while both of us navigated unpredictable times in our lives. Despite the uncertainties we faced, as time passed we became more and more certain of each other. The rest, as they say, is history.
It was a warm spring day - and our one-year anniversary - when we visited the peak of Stone Mountain, a granite monolith on the outskirts of Atlanta. After exploring the top of the rock, enjoying the clear pine air, and taking in the views, we climbed up to a secluded cluster of trees with a clear sightline of the city skyline. It was there that a beautiful, peaceful day turned into the happiest moment of both our lives.
