...the world was going through unprecedented times that a vast majority of us have never experienced in our lives. A combination of "new-age" dating and love for a certain fried cheese snack brought these two lovebirds together in July 2020, when conversations started out as "virtual" FaceTime dates lasting for hours and many people were looking for fresh starts. Ashley and Brennen finally met in person - outdoors - in Delray Beach, Florida on a sunny early August day where the sand was hot and the water warm enough for hurricanes. Their first kiss was a bit impeded by their hats bumping into each other while in the Atlantic waters, but nevertheless...it was a memorable one. As the months went on, Ashley and Brennen continued to grow closer together. Their first vacation to Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida was a real test of "hangry" wits while being blasted with hand sanitizer at every corner. Despite Brennen's crippling fear of roller coasters, their first trip made memories that will certainly last a lifetime. As society started to return to normalcy, Ashley and Brennen continued to make many memories together with each other and their families and friends. With the bride finishing her Masters degree and the groom looking to find a new apartment, the craziest idea came about... Ashley and Brennen moving in together. As the couple continued to become stronger through co-habitation, the love they shared for each other continued to grow as well. As the Fall of 2021 rolled through, Ashley and Brennen decided to adopt another member of their household - Maggie the Rescue Mutt. With the arrival of Maggie, the dynamic duo now became a trio, giving each other the opportunity to demonstrate how much love and care another living being needs. Maggie's arrival also confirmed who will be walking and feeding her the most. It's the groom. After spending their first Christmas together as a unit both in their new home and with the bride's family, Ashley accompanied Brennen to Savannah, Georgia (the bride's request and inspiration for their wedding venue...with special guest Maggie tagging along) and Milwaukee, Wisconsin (home of the groom's alma mater) for some long-weekend fun as the world continued to open back up. With Milwaukee being a big part of Brennen's life, there was nobody else he'd want to show it with but with the woman he loved. It was after that trip that he decided he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Ashley, and "Project Proposal" with the help of the bride's maid of honor and best friend Jenna...could now begin. At last - the moment you've all been waiting for. It was a "tumultuous" week leading up to the big day that will be the catalyst behind the actual "Big Day" that we'd like all of you to celebrate with them. As the groom and maid of honor were devising a proposal plan, Ashley was a nervous wreck. The groom continued to keep her on her toes for those few weeks between the next jewelry store visit and the most important day of their young lives so far. Then - an executive decision was made to "change plans" for the planned big day, with Ashley believing that her premonition of being engaged to the love her life was being delayed even further. Then - on April 2, 2022 at Colee Hammock Park in downtown Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Ashley's friends wanted to stop by a "Farmers' Market" for some goodies - against Ashley's wishes. However, Brennen was waiting there for her, ring in hand. Upon calling her name, Ashley's eyes darted over to the direction of her future husband's voice, where she broke out in tears of joy as the ring of her dreams was placed onto her finger to have for the rest of her life.
