What’s the dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal or dressy cocktail — think summer dresses, jumpsuits, or a collared shirt with slacks (or nice shorts). It gets warm in Oregon during the summer, and we want you to be comfortable! Dress nice, but don’t stress. The venue is mostly outdoors, with dinner held indoors.

Is the ceremony and reception at the same location?

Yep! Both will take place at the Crag Rat Hut in Hood River, Oregon.

The Crag Rat Hut? What in the world??

Answer

Funny name—cute venue with a beautiful view of Mount Hood! The Crag Rat Hut is the clubhouse for America's oldest mountain rescue team, the Hood River Crag Rats. The group's name came from a founder's wife who jokingly called them "crag rats" for spending so much time climbing cliffs.

What time should we arrive?

Answer

Please arrive around 4pm PST (about 30 minutes before the ceremony begins) to park, grab a drink, and settle in.

I'm visiting from out of town, will I need a rental car?

Answer

Yes, a car is recommended. From PDX airport to Hood River, its about a 1hr 20min drive. Hood River itself is spread out and most accomidations are a short drive from the venue.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yep! We’ll have beer, wine, and a signature cocktail & kombucha-focused mocktail. If you know the groom, you know he needs his kombucha!

What kind of food will be served?

Answer

Get ready for some mouth-watering BBQ, served at your leisure. Any guesses who picked the menu? (Hint: it wasn’t Ashley.)

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Negative, Ghost Rider. We love your little ones, but this will be an adults-only celebration with the exception of immediate family kiddos due to our venue’s occupancy restrictions. Plus, we want you to be able to relax and enjoy yourself—and what parent ever complains about a little kid-free time? 😉

What’s the weather like in Hood River?

Answer

Warm days, and comfortable, cooler evenings. Dress for summer, but bring a light jacket for after sunset.

Can we take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We’d love for you to be fully present, so please keep your phones tucked away until the reception. Don’t worry, we’ll happily share our photographer’s photos with friends and family afterward!
