Flight
We will be flying out of JFK into Rome on Tuesday September 19th at 5pm, and flying back on Saturday September 30th at 10:30am.
Travel Note
We recommend using the train to get around not only Italy but any country in Europe that you are planning to visit. Trains are the cheapest and easiest way we have found to get around! You can use the TrainLine website or you can download the TrinaLine app on your phone. Downloading the app allows you to access your tickets while on the train and allows you to be paper free while traveling. There are trains that go from the Roma Fiumicino Aeroporto (the main airport in Rome) to Orvieto, that run once every hour and cost approximately $20. There is a change in Roma Tiburtina, and the total trip takes about 2 hours. ***some train require tickets to be validated before getting on the train!
Travel Note
If you do not want to rely on train times, rental cars are another way to go! Personally, we have never rented a car in Italy, however a close family friend recommends EconomyCarRentals.com for the best deals for renting cars in Europe.
Travel Note
In Italy, you will NOT be able to hail cab. Cabs must be called for, which can be done by your hotel or restaurant. Uber does exist in Italy, however, it only has uber black available, which can get costly.
