For the wedding, just smart casual. Nothing too formal. Men: you don’t need to turn up in a suit and tie, but you can if you want. Women: bear in mind it will be generally cold, although we should be fine indoors.

No! Driving in Edinburgh is no fun, and parking is even worse. It’s also very easy to pick up tickets for any number of things. But, public transport is excellent, and it’s a very small and walkable city.
To clarify, the main entrance to the Virgin hotel is in Victoria Street, but the wedding (and meal) venue is round the back, at 2 Cowgate. Then, drinks after the ceremony will be next door to that at the Eve Restaurant, at 18-20 Cowgate, which is also part of the hotel complex. See map in ‘Useful Information’
