Maid of Honor
Sharon Ann "Fia-Fiailoa" Lauvai --as I called her growing up-- has been my go-to built-in sister since she was born. From the outside looking in, we are very different. I commonly joke that if we lived in a universe were we were not cousins and she was not forced to hang out with me, we probably would not have been friends. But in this universe the forced friendship has transformed into a sisterhood. We compliment each other in many ways. I wear my emotions on my sleeve and she's a tough nut to crack. But she is the kindest, most generous, fiercely loyal, show tunes loving human being. She has done so much for me and I am honored to have her be my Maid of Honor.
Best Man
Arman and I met over 15 years ago and quickly became best friends. We got our first apartment together when we were 18 and lived together for almost 10 years! I wouldn't be the person I am today without his support and friendship. He has been by my side for all of the ups and downs in life and is truly my brother.
Matron of Honor
Sue McLachlan wears many hats in my life. As a grandmother she has taught me how to love unconditionally. As the mother to my wonderful mother, she has taught me how to be a strong independent woman. Her relationship with my grandpa taught me what to look forward to when I am a wife. I hope Amir and I have as special a marriage as Sue and Mac did. When I thought about my wedding day I knew I wanted all of my friends by my side. So, there was little question that this group would include my grammy Sue. Because she is more than my grandmother--she is my best friend.
Groomsman
Omar is my younger brother, who shares many of the same hobbies and passions that I do. Our love for sports and video games keep us connected to a great group of friends. We spend hours every week on our PS5 headsets laughing and talking smack while we play FIFA.
Bridesmaid
Tammy and I had known each other since middle school but ran in different circles. The summer before we started UCLA, we were invited to a mutual friend's wedding only to each be sat awkwardly near to our respective exes. However, thanks to shitty wine and a mutual love for true crime, politics, and 90s alternative rock the two of us found an easy friendship that made both of us wonder why we hadn't been friends along.
Groomsman
Kristian and I met in high school, but our friendship grew during our college years. I would visit him at SDSU for weekends full of partying and shenanigans. As we have grown older, we have become even closer friends and the shenanigans have continued!
Bridesmaid
Sara is my oldest & dearest friend. In fact, there wasn't a human on the planet who knew me better inside and out through high school. After Torrance High we both became Cuesta Cougars & some of Stenn Glenn's finest in San Luis Obispo solidifying a bond many go through life trying to find. No matter the distance, time, space, or life changes, we continue to be tied together for all time.
Groomswoman
Sara has paved the way in our family, being a great sister, wife, and mother. She is hard-working and compassionate and all around a great human being. From getting me in trouble as a kid, to partying together in our teens, to starting careers and families, I couldn't ask for a better sister.
Bridesmaid
I locked eyes with Carie across the room the spring of 2012 and life was never the same. Both of us were perplexed at the audacity of some people and made our way back to the UCLA dorms that night in a flurry of laughter and movie lines. It was like meeting someone who spoke your language after living with the subtitles on your whole life. A friendship made up of predominately movie lines and pop culture references, Carie is as close to a soulmate as I will find.

Suzy is the most fun out of all the Badawi kids and is always the life of the party. When she went to school in NY, we all looked forward to her visiting home so we could go to Six Flags, play Mario Party, and hide drinks from my mom while we jam packed the living room for game nights. She has achieved so much in life and will keep doing so!
Bridesmaid
I have known Sierra since freshman year of high school. What started out as a not-so-secret rivalry turned into a great friendship (once we had both left the swimming pool behind for good). It was Sierra who introduced me to my first law job, which jump started my path to law school. Sierra's friendship came at a time when I needed it the most and we both continue to provide the other with a place of refuge from work and the world with promises of nights full of Taco Bell, beer, & Vanderpump Rules.
Groomsman
Tamim and I met freshman year of high school, where we spent lunch working on our homework in the library. He helped me navigate high school both socially and educationally. Tamim and his family have meant so much to me over the years, helping my brothers and I grow to be better men. He is also absolutely hilarious and brings pure comedy to our friend group.
Bridesmaid
I met gorgeous Tara Marie the summer before I was to start at UCLA. as a transfer student. I learned that she was not only on her way to become a Bruin too, but was set to be an anthropology major as well! What were the odds! We got even closer after reconnecting a few years after graduation due to our mutual love for cats, wine, and talking about everything and anything till late into the night.
Groomsman
Seann and I met through our love for soccer and video games 8 years ago and our friendship has grown ever since. We have had countless trips together (Vegas, camping, backpacking, surf trips) and they are always epic! Seann is a true friend to me and everyone he connects with and will certainly be a life-long friend!
Flower Girls
Loralai "Lulu" & my god-daughter Savannah Grace bring such joy to so many lives and will be dancing their way down the aisle as our flower girls
Ring Bearer
Laila is the youngest of the Badawi children and also everyone's favorite. She has a pure heart and is loving, caring, and wise beyond her years. We are so excited to have her be a part of our special day!
