Our story began quietly, the way the best ones often do. In September of 2020, Alonzo and I started dating, not fully knowing that we were stepping into something that would change our lives. What began as simple conversations and shared moments quickly turned into something deeper. Even in the uncertainty of the world at that time, we found comfort, laughter, and safety in each other. As the months passed, our relationship grew stronger. By July of 2021, it felt natural to take the next step and move in together. Sharing a home meant learning each other in new ways, building routines, navigating challenges, and celebrating small everyday wins. That season taught us how to be a true team, how to show up for one another even when life felt heavy. Alonzo’s first house held so many memories for us, but in September of 2023, we closed one chapter and opened another, moving out of his first and into a new house together that same month. It wasn’t just a change of address, it was a symbol of how far we’d come and how committed we were to building a future side by side. Then came one of the most beautiful moments of my life. In August of 2024, Alonzo asked me to marry him. It felt like the universe pausing for a second, confirming what my heart already knew, that was my person, my forever. Just a few months later, in January of 2025, our love grew in a way we never imagined when we found out we were pregnant with our babygirl. From that moment on, everything changed. Every dream became bigger, every plan more meaningful, all centered around the life we were creating together. On September 18th 2025, our world officially became complete when we welcomed our daughter, Emily. Holding her for the first time was the realization that our loved had turned into something tangible, beautiful, and lasting, a family. From dating in 2020, to building a home & saying yes to forever, to finally becoming parents, our relationship has bloomed through every season. Our story isn’t just about milestones, it’s about choosing each other everyday, growing together, and creating a life filled with love, resilience, and purpose. And this is only the beginning.
