Maid of Honor
My baby sister, one of my biggest inspirations in my life and someone I literally couldn't be without. I have never met anyone that maintains such peace and strength in such perfect balance before. She truly is incredible. We've not always seen eye to eye growing up but now that we're both older and wiser, she's one of my best friends. Molly is working in Manchester as a paediatric nurse and while I deeply miss her being at home, I am insanely proud of her.
Best Man
Tom and Ash have know each other for about 12 years, but only really became friends in 2015 when Tom moved to LIGHTChurch. It was a friendship that quickly blossomed into a brotherhood. Tom is the most kindhearted person anyone could ask for. He is a source of constant encouragement. He’s an inspiration and a true friend. If Ash is ever making his famous cheese sauce, be sure to find Tom knocking on his door.
Bridesmaid
We've journeyed so much together for such a young friendship but she teaches me more about life every time we're together. Life is never EVER dull when she's around and there was no doubt in the fact that she'd be with me on my wedding day. Jenny graduated from Edge Hill in 2020 with results that reflected her commitment to what ever she sets her mind on, which we are all extremely proud of. I have no doubt that she will go far in life and I'm looking forward to seeing where that takes her (hopefully not too far away)!
Groomsman
Only knowing each other for a few short years - you wouldn't know it. James and Ash first bonded just from having the same friends, but when they learnt that they both have a deep love, a passion for Sci-Fi, Mythical and Fantasy TV/Films there was a spark. A connection that bonded them. James was the first person Ash was able to have a deep conversation with about Merlin (one of the best series’ the BBC has ever made). Geeky connection aside, James is one of the most genuine kind-hearted people you’ll ever meet. Always smiling, he just loves to love. He has such a big heart, it’s even bigger than his bicep - seriously, that’s an achievement!
Bridesmaid
This women's beauty, compassion, energy and dedication to her friends makes her one of the most important people in my life. She has been a firm third wheel since the beginning of our relationship; from helping Ash plan the proposal to venue shopping! Lucy is one of the leaders of the kids work at our church and we all know that she will be a very enthusiastic baby sitter when the time comes!
Groomsman
Ash and Conor, like Josh, met in college where they studied music together, playing in the same bands. They didn’t become close friends straight away, but after an crazy incident at college in their first year (you’ll have to ask them about it) they became closer than brothers. When they parted ways for uni, Conor moved to Cardiff, he finished Uni and stayed down their after meeting his partner, Mena. 165 miles in-between them, yet they have still managed to meet up and continue their “bromance”. It’s a relationship that doesn’t need constant attention, but when they’re together, it’s like they’ve never been apart.
Bridesmaid
My beautiful niece to be! She's growing into an absolutely gorgeous young woman whom I love so much. I can't believe I get the priviledge of being her Aunty Alice.
Groomsman
Ash and Josh met in college where they studied music together. They became good friends, performing in several bands together. Eventually they went to university together. Shortly after leaving uni - whilst remaining close friends - their career paths briefly made them part ways, however in 2018 the two decided to join together and start a business. They have been on many crazy adventures together and have plenty of stories which would make you laugh.
Bridesmaid
She's beauty, she's love, she's strength and she's passion and my life would be empty of laughter without her. As well as being one of my best friends, she is also part of the church leadership team along with her husband, Dan. Both Holly and Dan have been of great support to both myself and Ash and they have definitely helped shaped our relationship into what it is now.
Groomsman
Out of all the Groomsmen, Dan and Ash’s friendship has been the longest one. Becoming friends when they were 7/8 years old and never looking back. Dan has journeyed with Ash through the best times and the worst. A few years ago, Ash and Dan (and his wife Holly) started a tradition where they would spend Pancake day together, a tradition that Alice was welcomed into and a tradition which will carry on for years, even as their families grow.
Bridesmaid
She came from across the pond and has since become one of my dearest friends. Full of love, joy, kindness and a fantastic sense of humour; I couldn't imagine life without her. An added bonus... we get her sister too!! Emily's friendship is one of a kind; she is honest, loving and gives the BEST hugs! I have absolute admiration for this girl, having moved to the other side of the world and definitely count myself blessed to be part of the group she settled into
Groomsman
Will is one of the funniest people you’ll ever meet. He has a giant heart for people, especially for youth outreach. He is passionate about encouraging the next generation, which is so inspiring to see. Ash and Will have been friends for a number of years after being introduced by Will's sister, Holly (who is now Dan's wife). Their time together is constantly filled with random adventures. Whether its a short notice trip to the Trafford Centre just for Five Guys or the countless bike rides they started doing during lockdown. Their friendship blossomed when they both decided to spend a year at Life Church College part time. Every Thursday for a year, Ash would pick Will up at 7am to be in Bradford for 9am start. The adventures are just beginning.
Bridesmaid
Beautiful Lottie is my feisty, independent and chatty youngest cousin. If you ever have a question about unicorns, she's 100% the person to go to but be prepared to leave knowing enough to complete a degree in Unicorn care! When I asked her if she would like to be a bridesmaid and wear a pretty dress her response was; "it's ok Alice, I already have lots of pretty dresses." Sums her up perfectly!
