During the initial parts of the pandemic, I was about to permanently sign off of the dating apps when I received a message from Alex that said "you seem like you wouldn't be boring". Alex then asked me to go on a virtual date with him via Zoom and 2.5 hours later, we both knew there was a connection worth exploring. The following weekend, we went on our first in-person date and have truly been inseparable since!

My family has been going to Salida, Colorado for decades so it was nothing out of the ordinary when I asked Ashley to come on our family ski trip that spring. Little did she know, I was going to trick her into a “hiking day” where I proposed on one of our favorite mountain biking trails. Not only was she surprised when she saw I was down on one knee, but also when the photographer I hired popped out from behind a rock after documenting the entire proposal. We walked into town to celebrate with my parents and she got to Facetime her family and capture the look on their faces when she showed them the ring!
