We’re getting Married!

I started EMT school where Albert was the lead instructor. During the class Albert would talk about golf to some of the guy students and I wanted to be included in the conversation so I said I golf too! This wasn’t a total lie! However, I just may have over exaggerated how good I was! Close to the end of the class, I started flirting a little with Albert, but he didn’t catch on and I wasn’t sure if he would be interested. April 26th, 2022 After the final exam, I wanted to give Albert the gift I got him but I was contemplating whether or not to give him my number. I was eventually convinced by my mom who said, ‘what do you have to lose, just do it!’ So I walked in to the office and asked Kim the office manager for a note card! I thanked Albert for being a great instructor and said we should go golfing sometime and I wrote my number down! I then went to give Albert the gift (I was so nervous), thankfully he wasn’t there and I just left the gift bag on his chair. The next day I received a text from Albert (to which I screamed and threw my phone across the room!) he thanked me for the gift and saying he’s ready to go golfing! Yes, I passed the class and no it wasn’t because of Albert! I’m just really smart okay!

Albert and I were texting non stop after the class ended! I went to the school the Thursday after finishing the class to grab my certificate and take the practice exam for the National Registry EMT. Since I talked a big game on how I’m a golfer, Albert asked me if I wanted to golf. I said yes and we made a tee time that Saturday at Menifee Lakes. We had such a great time and I got to see a different side of Albert, instead of my intimidating instructor! After our round of golf, Albert asked if I was hungry and we went to Texas Roadhouse for lunch! We made plans for a second date after!!

My parents were throwing a family Christmas party and we were playing all sorts of games. During the ornament exchange game, I was not rolling the right numbers on the dice so the game kept on going. Finally, I rolled the correct numbers and got my gift, as I was opening the gift I looked inside to see what ornament I got! I got golf balls and was super confused until I read what was written on the golf balls ‘Will you Marry Me?’ I looked up to see Albert down on one knee!! I couldn’t believe it, he surprised me good! Just a couple weeks earlier I was asking him when he was going to ask me and he kept telling me to ‘wait a damn minute!’ I’m so excited to marry my best friend and I can’t wait to see what our future brings us!
